Weather in Cuernavaca

Due to it's altitude, the region enjoys a cooler climate than the coastal areas, which is often a much-welcomed relief to visitors after exposure to the heat of the coastal cities and resorts. However, temperatures will become hotter and more humid the further south you travel and into the lower elevations. In general it is a dry region, although the summer months of June through September bring short spells of heavy rain on most afternoons. Winters are sunny and dry, and evenings can get cool, especially in the winter months. In general, there is not a large variation in temperature year round, only in precipitation.
