By Bus

From Mexico City to Oaxaca City daily 6 lines of buses offers its services, you can travel to Oaxaca on a comfort bus and the trip takes about 6 hours on the expressway that connects Oaxaca City to Mexico City. Buses depart from Mexico City's eastern bus station (Central de Autobuses Oriente) and are regular and abundant, though pre-booking is recommended during Mexican festivities.

By Car

Go to Oaxaca by Car is incredibly efficient now with a high-speed toll road; from Mexico City use the freeway Nº 150 in the section Mexico - Puebla; next by the Freeway Not 150-0 Puebla Cordova until the junction with the expressway Cuacnopalan - Oaxaca, and then by this one until arriving at the city of Oaxaca. The time approximate is of 5hrs. The roads in the state are usually in good conditions. Getting Around Oaxaca

By Bus

Oaxaca is very accessible by road, and there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas - including two of Mexico's major archaeological parks - Monte Alban and Mitla. Renting a car would be a smart option if you're thinking about exploring this region in detail, as it will give you the freedom and flexibility to see more of the area and its surrounding attractions.
